| Amira Wasfy obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1964 and then in 1970, a Masters of Business Administration from Central Missouri State University in the US. |

In 1979, she completed a BA of Fine Arts at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and in 1987 a Masters of Fine Arts from the same university.

| Since 1987, she has been a lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History, College of Arts & Science at the University of Saskatchewan, where she instructs painting and drawing. She has had multiple solo and group exhibitions. Her works hang in private collections in Cairo, Cannes, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Malaga, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Washington DC. |
