“There is no greater sorrow on earth than the loss of ones native land.” Euripides (432 BC). "I think that it is very important for all government of the world to take it upon themselves to educate their citizens on this Right, that refugees are not in a situation of choice, but one of circumstance. That it is through no fault of their own that they have had to leave their homeland, that they too have rights and that anybody could find themselves in a similar situation.
We must not forget to commend the UNHCR (United Nations Commission for Refugees) for it’s effort in assisting refugees and the countries involved. But we, the citizens of the earth and our leaders must do all we can to see that peace prevails and is restored wherever there is war. As individuals, we must make it our personal responsibility to restore and maintain peace and understanding at the one-on-one level.
When we have done all that is in our power, then we can sit in silence and say a prayer for peace in the world, refugees who have had to leave their homes, and for those who never made it to safety but fell victim to persecution whose cries we were not able to answer." “Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” Buddha (About 563 BC)” - Ann M. Gakere
