Artist Statement: Zuky Serper

"Art is free for all; One can create anything for everybody

One can experience its variable appearances
Art can be delivered onto the oceans of humanity
Art is not calling for freedom
Art is freedom is freedom of the spirit Has no limits, no borders
Art is freeing the soul
Art is universal"
In my work I composed images representing my concept of Art. The scene depicts the battle between the World, in the shape of attacking zigzags, and the Hands, protecting hands, the artist’s hands.
The labour of Hands reveals the fundamental of Modernist structure with the three graces on top: Beauty, Charm and Happiness. Their Satyrs legs remind us of Dyonisus: storm of passion and fertility.
At the sides we can see Eros in power the creation in the Beauty. Floating above we see the snake Apollos sign; the intellectual pole of art.
Up in the celestial sky, Bertholdt Brecht and Inspiration are ruling."-
