Entang Wiharso was born in Tegal, Central Java, Indonesia in 1967. He entered the painting programme at the Art Institute of Indonesia in 1987 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1994. In 1996 he was selected as one of the top thirty artists in Indonesia, the same year he moved to the United States.

| Entang Wiharso has exhibited extensively in Indonesia and Southeast Asia as well as in Europe. He had his premiere solo exhibition in the US in 1997 at the Native Gallery in Providence. His artwork is in private and public collections throughout Southeast Asia, Europe and the US. |
